Top Secret and Nismo : magic formula ? (Inno64)

Let’s have ourselves a blast with some new Inno64 models, from the tuning side but not from LBWK or Pandem! This is rare enough to be highlighted (and appreciated!). This time Inno64 went with Top Secret body kits and preparers and the Nissan sports department: Nismo. The good old R35 has not said yet its last word.

When Inno64 told me about their wish to tool the R35 to have the complete GT-R family, I was not very enthusiast because the market seems to be a bit overcrowded. This didn’t include the true know how of the brand and their capacities to bring us collectors into their world. While the “street” R35 is a beauty, what is to be said about the Top Secret and the huge success it had encountered ? The value of the Tokyo Auto Salon 2022 on the second market speaks for itself. Inno did it again with a Malaysia Diecast Expo 2024 special in light bronze metallic. Beauty.

The Nismo GT-R R35 Special Edition 2022 is also a hit : I can see it every time I’m looking at a forum or a Facebook group. This model is easy to compare to the Tomica Limited Vintage Neo version (that I don’t own, but you can see comparisons easily on internet). I let you guys make your mind about it, my reviews are not aimed at making comparisons on which one is better than another.

Malaysia Diecast Expo 2024 was also the opportunity to tool a Top Secret model on a GT-R R34, in gold with carbon fiber hood, trunk and black wheels. This model matches the above mentioned GT-R R35 Top Secret from Tokyo Auto Salon 2022. It is a nice duo but my preference is clearly for the R35. You can find the models on eBay.

The Top Secret R35 is so big and for once the body kit fits perfectly the car. The moulding seems so good that you can appreciate every line, curve and extension on the car. This is a damn true success. Carbon fiber aspect is miles ahead compared to other brands and look at the details of the front and rear parts. The car is low, has a metal base and is a roller.

The Nismo (stealth grey color) is not to be missed too. All the red touches that are really making the car are here : from front spoiler, to circles on the rims or details on the bucket seats. Again, the stance is low, metal base and good roller.

Finally, the Top Secret R34 might be a little under in term of excitement, for me. I don’t know why, the version used here has a plastic base but the stance is good enough. The moulding of the Inno64 R34 is almost perfect and the gold color really highlights it. It’s a good model for sure.

Overall, Inno64 venture into Nissan GT-R body kits is good. The GT-R family that is being put in place is beyond excitement.
