The Leipzig convention in Germany, running alongside the Modell-Hobby-Spiel event is drawing to a close. As has been the scenario for a number of years now, Dirk Schleuer, who runs the European convention, has a lot of auction items available to those who are going, but for those who don’t, he doesn’t ignore you. What he does is a 3-auction set-up. Auction A ran from Saturday 14th September at 2pm Berlin time (this is GMT +2), and finished on Saturday 21st at 2pm (Berlin time). Now it is the turn of Auction C. This begins on Sunday 22nd September at 2pm (Berlin time) and finishes one week later on Sunday 29th September at 2pm. Please remember to ensure you know the difference between your time zone and GMT+2.
A quick reminder of the details in German and English for those who are interested. As is the routine, Auction A was open to the world, and Dirk received many bids for the 10 items. Auction B is just for those in attendance. Now that the convention is finishing, Auction C will begin, and run another week coming out of the event. All you have to do is submit your bids by email to Dirk.
Again, a quick recap of the guideline for the auctions. As Dirk says, he will send out daily emails to those participating. The first person who bids a certain amount is the high bidder. If he receives an email from somebody else with the same bid amount (in euros, please remember that, it’s in Germany), they will be informed that this is the high bid, but it is not them. It has worked in the past, so why change it. So, let’s get on with the lots.
Lot C01 is an early prototype of the MB1432 ’70 Ford Bronco, featuring an unspun base and incomplete details on the base.
Lot C02 is a hand painted pre-production prototype of the Skybusters SB-112 Flying Car, again with an unriveted base and incomplete details.
Lot C03 is an FEP sample of the MB1253 Super Chase from 2024 in package. Note the codes detailed on the side of the model.
Lot C04 is a 3D print of the MB1205 ’16 Alfa Romeo Giulia.
Lot C05 is an early prototype of the MB1366 ’80 AMC Eagle with incomplete base details (although is riveted).
Lot C06 is an FEP sample of the MB1272 Jeep Gladiator from the 2022 Jurassic World Dominion series.
Lot C07 is a 2014 Toy Fair release of the MB884 Dump Dozer.
Lot C08 is 1 of 250 Mattel made code 1 models of the MB1437 ’63 Mercedes-Benz 230SL in red, made for this year’s Leipzig Toy Show.
Lot C09 is the 2018 Toy Fair release of the MB1078 ’16 Chevy Colorado Xtreme.
Lot C10 is an early prototype of the MB1328 Moving Parts version of the 2020 Chevy Corvette C8.
