It’s just a simple one today.

As you saw, I uploaded a registration post to Lamley last night. Registration has begun for the latest Leipzig Convention in September. Dirk is providing a registration auction alongside it for anyone who fancies having a go. So, over on the Wheel Collectors website, I decided to do another dive back (if you translate the German title, you will have noted that), and chose another 4 classics from my collection. Obviously, theming them with the Leipzig registration, all of the models are German. 4 different German manufacturers. They range from classic Lesney to the more modern Mattel-era models. You can click here to go direct to my blog pages. I hope you enjoy it.

Hello David. I always love it when you pull out your old toys! 🙂 Your commentary on the Mercedes 300SE, Porsche 928, Concept Beetle, and Opel Frogster is great to read. I own numerous examples of the 300SE (love that casting!) but only old wheels in blue and Superfast in gold. A blue one with Superfast wheels has eluded me. And the backstory about Bulgarian castings is great history. The Porsche 928 is another excellent casting. The blue variation is my favorite. I, too, have the World Class version. I tend to leave my toys in their packaging so I can’t really tell if the World Class version has an interior. Do you know the answer to this question? Thanks for all of the trivia. We toy nerds appreciate it!.
Amazingly, the World Class models still had interiors. Even though they had chrome windows so you could not see them. Thanks as well for the kind words. It is always nice to know that somebody enjoys me nerding out like this. Ha ha!
