This is exactly down my alley. Vintage racing is something I’m particularly attracted by. My collectors eyes will always set on these. Then, I cannot be more happy when my favorite diecast brand is bringing back some classics like the Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth or the very much more niche Nissan GTS-R R31. Now, you have to choose which side you are on : Germany or Japan ? DTM or JTCC ?
Don’t ask me to choose! I adore the Sierra RS500 Cosworth as you probably know, but I think the Nissan R31 casting is a great one, compared to the R30.
I will let the pictures do the talking, but let’s precise that the DTM Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth is the Nürburgring winner while the Nissan Skyline GTS-R HR31 is from Japan Touring Car Championship. Both cars are from 1988! My date of birth. Both are 35 years old. The good old nineties are hype, and it’s that good.
Enjoy these models that I don’t need to describe again and again. Both have very nice details with racing interiors. I love the new wheels on the Sierra (eBay link) while the R31 would still need a lower stance and more cambered wheels. Both are new models for April 2024 and can be found on eBay easily.
