Some new versions of the AE86 Levin and a new box set collection (Inno64)

The Toyota AE86 Levin is probably with the Nissan GT-R R34 one of the most famous and loved JDM car worldwide. Fans will be happy to add 2 versions to their collections. Inno64 has just released a new box set collection including 2 drift cars with the AE86 Levin and a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo III, the theme being Trackerz Racing. The brand also introduced a new casting version of the AE86 with the Pandem / Rocket Bunny.

The box set collection by Inno64 is really a collection theme I like. The box set is qualitative and models are most of the time my cup of tea, very racing oriented. For this one, the theme is about drift. It seems to be a collaboration with MY64. I absolutely don’t know anything about this brand and the cars, but from what I’ve researched, only the AE86 seems to be a real car. The fenders are extended on the AE86 and both cars are plastic chassis. I like the green roll cage inside. The Lancer Evolution III is obviously very nice – it’s a casting I very much like and that is mastered.

Looking at the Pandem AE86 Levin, I am surprised to love it! Most Lamley readers will know that I am not always enthusiast about kitted cars but this AE86 works for me. The casting mold is unique so far and the fenders are exaggeratedly wide. It looks good and particularly in those Toyota classic colors. The car does exist in real life. The number 86 is a nice touch. The reduction from Inno64 is a metal chassis and a roller, which is a good point. The bad point is that to be a roller, the car cannot really have cambered wheels like the real car. You can’t have everything and satisfy each collector. You can find the cars on eBay.

Anyway, the AE86 is obviously a model that the brand cherishes with many iterations up now. I’m sure many cool recolors will come for the Pandem. And you, what’s your favorite AE86 so far ?

  1. I’d love to know your thoughts on the Nissan GT-R R35 Inno64 has produced. I just picked up the “Chinese New Year” edition and I was absolutely blown away by it!

    1. Please have a look at my previous articles on the blog! I reviewed it with the Top Secret. It’s indeed a very well done minicar, maybe coming too late in the game, or too soon for a really collector car haha.
