I definitely should have split this report. There are so many models in the last batch of 2023. It was huge. We used to get smaller batches when they were released every 2 months on occasion. Still, I went nuts, and over on the Wheel Collectors website, I have worked my way through all of these. I hope you enjoy my ramblings. There were some really cool models in the batch. Found this batch at Tesco today (third time lucky; my visits to other Tesco Extra stores in the area only turned up a collection of last year’s pegwarmers). The window transparency on my Volvo XC40 fits OK so hopefully yours was a one-off. I’ve found similar faults in other models before and suspect they’re down to stray bits of casting flash but never felt the need to tear the models apart to find out.

I found remnants of the final batch of 2023 at my local Tesco as well last night. Only a few. No Volvo. But, I have obtained a second Toyota Hilux. Yes, I am sure my Volvo will be a 1-off.
Tilley’s Matchbox Monday report never publishes on time at the Wheel Collectors site. It’s now Tuesday and there’s still no sign of the report although the link above was published here yesterday.
There was an issue as they have to manually click it on. Software issues. But, the person who does it is ill, and it got overlooked. It is there now.
I was able to buy models from this batch as soon as early December of 2023. I fall in love with the 1986 Ford F-150 pick up truck, lovely color, nice details – Ford logo and painted lights are superb, oh i like Field Car too, even though i do not collect generics i made an exception since it came out, the rest of the batch is forgettable. This batch, in contrast to earlier mixes showed up abundantly in Poland. Still, there’s something wrong, for example, there should be recurring models from previous batch right ? No such thing. I was hoping for 1976 Vw Golf Gti, it didn’t show up with 12 mix as it should…. 🙁
The green Golf appeared in both Mix 10 and 11 and was never intended for Mix 12. Luckily if you’ve missed it, it reappears for 2024 Mix 1 😀

Weird enough 1986 Ford F-150 won’t be recurring in first batch of 2024, i’m glad i was able to get it with 12 mix, online is the only choice for those who missed 12 mix.
