Why it is cool to complete your Inno64 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo III collection

It is for sure one of my favorite castings from the Inno brand. The casting is cool, detailed, and as I said in my previous articles, the Lancer Evo III is an interesting casting to collect, because there is enough to build a nice collection of road and rally cars, and not too many to become crazy. I would add that even exclusives models are not so hard to find, neither ultra expensive. You can find them on eBay.

Inno was kind enough to send me the latest Evo III in the collection, which is the yellow street one, with white rims. To me, this car sounds Gran Turismo 4 (that time where tracks were interesting) :

So, for sure, I couldn’t be more happy to get the yellow Evo III in the collection. Of course, I still have some to find to complete my collection (the time will come), but for now my 3 favorite colors are reunited.

I believe the red one is still my fave, but I was kind of surprised to observe that the front hoods were different. I don’t know if it is a casting evolution, or not. Note that the seats are different too.

To be complete, like many times, the model comes with it’s extra wheels set and decals sheet, that in this case I’m not particularly interested in. Why not on a second car, but for now, it will stay in the storage.

Enjoy the pics, and see you soon.

  1. “I don’t know if it is a casting EVOLUTION, or not.”

Is that an intentional pun? LOL!

I also see the red car also has simple bumper side intake and top grilles. You only get the perforated grille in the central intake, so my guess is that the yellow car is an updated casting.
