This is one I will keep in the collection for sure, for it’s uniqueness and it’s original execution. The windows are blacked, and there is no interior, but I like it anyway. In fact, it doesn’t really matches my standards of collection, but it is so charming that it was an instant fave when I bought it 4 or 5 years ago.
My Lamley friends wrote about the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL recently on the blog, and I felt like the need to show you this one.

It is also filling a gap, because Mercedes-Benz in the 1/64 world is pretty rare.
It it the replica of the 1955 Mille Miglia driven to victory by John Fitch, from Bescia to Rome (and back). Why the number 417 ? Because the car started at 4:17 am. As simple as that. I love the dark grey color too (it is not black, thought the dark grey should have been a little brighter in my opinion).
Above all I love the wheels with soft tires. The wind deflector is a nice addition, specially because it is bigger on the diver side than the passenger side. It is a very nice detail for a gift toy. Those UCC minicars used to be given with coffees in Japan. Of course collectors were attracted to those, and it was not that difficult to buy a set from hobby dealers or eBay.

That’s it for this quick presentation, cheers. @guillaumewillpics
Are these actually properly 1/64 scale? Been tempted by them a few times, but not sure if they’re 1/64 or 1/72
Hi, they are not perfectly 1/64, but surely not 1/72. They maybe a little small for 1/64, but they are nice!
