POP Race is the latest model car brand from Home Kong that enters the mini car market with a unique racing background that focus on craftsmanship. In fact they are already collaborating with some of the finest model car brands such as Inno64, MINI GT and BM Creations with many exciting products in the pipeline including the soon to be released Godzilla Pick Up truck.
Hence I’m very excited about this pair of POP RACE X Inno64 Toyota Altezza and Levin which they sent over for review. First impression they are very realistic and similar to the actual race cars which took part in the Macau Guia race in 1/64 scale.
The Toyota Altezza really stands out with the Advan livery and looks very impressive in terms of presentation. The actual car is driven by a Japanese Racer back in the 2001 Macau Guia Race. All the liveries are in place with high quality control including attention to small and intricate details on the overall casting with high gloss finish. Wheelsets are on point which looks very realistic with Advan on the rubber tires.
The AE86 Toyota Corolla Levin casting is the exact replica of the actual car that took part in the 1984 Macau Guia Race. Holding this casting is like travelling back to the 80s with superb details and excellent workmanship including the interior that comes along with roll cage which is very impressive for a tiny scale in 1/64 upon close inspection. Not just 1/64, POP Race also focus on 1/18 including a 1/12 soon to be released Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 in EVA theme! Be sure to follow @poprace_ in IG for the latest updates.
