Super Showcase: Hot Wheels Nissan Skyline R34 Super TH

D Cases are showing, but I still wanted to share my pics of the R34 Skyline Super Treasure Hunt.  And come on let’s be honest.  We are always wondering about what is next, but the truth is mixes of all sorts are hitting during the holidays.  So maybe there is an R34 waiting for you on your next stop.

I filmed the Super Showcase video awhile ago, but haven’t posted it here.  Pics are after that.

The Super is really nice.  The green color is tremendous, and it is nice to see a shout-out to Jimmy Liu, Hot Wheels Marketing guru and resident R34 geek, on the hood.  The rest is beautifully understated.  Civic, R34, Corvette, and T2.  Great start for Supers in 2019.

  1. Very well done with the rear tampos
Nice paint colour (Odd choice but well done)
Could be a contender for super of the year (If chevy don’t do another camaro)

    1. “Could be a contender for super of the year”

      HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

      You must be joking.

There’s no way this would lose votes come the end of the year.

  2. No front tampos? The lack of front tampos is what ruined the Civic for me. Come on Mattel! The Skyline from 2007 blows this “understated” version out of the water!

  3. I agree no front tampos ruined it. I have it but im not happy about it. Cant wait till the premium fast and furious r34 comes out! That will be all decked for sure.

  4. See the thing is, the R34 Skyline never came with front tampos. It’s been out since 2010 and has never received the front end treatment. I don’t know why, but it’s not like this version is completely out of the ordinary. But I get it, we all figure that since it’s a Super, it should get better detailing to complete the look. Plus, with all the plain versions released during the first year, why wouldn’t they have front tampos? There’s no other tampos on the sides, just the taillights. In theory, it passes the three-side rule and could’ve gotten the front tampos. Especially if we’re supposed to hunt for this and value them.
