The Lamley DLM (Model Opening) Party at Hot Wheels Nationals in Dallas is this Saturday. What model should I give away, and what model should I open?

Hot Wheels Nationals has begun.  Hot Wheels nerds from all over are descending on poor, unsuspecting Dallas, Texas as you read this.  I will arrive Friday, and I am looking forward to checking in with some old friends and maybe snagging a model or two.  Or fifty.

And because the DLM Party we did in LA last October was a rousing success, we are going to do it again in Dallas!

If you don’t remember the Lamley DLM Party we did at the Hot Wheels Convention last fall, here is a refresher:

So let’s do it again.  This Saturday around 11-12 am (location and exact time TBD – follow my IG for exact details later this week) the Lamley DLM Party will happen again.  All are invited to attend, whether you want to actually participate or not.  But come and join me and some good folks from the Hot Wheels Team (Jimmy Liu, Brendon Vetuskey, Julian Koiles) participate in the carnage.

If you want to participate, bring a “notable” packaged model to open.  “Notable” is open to interpretation, but it needs to be significant.  A good Super TH, a good RLC or Convention model.  Something that gets a reaction when it is opened.  Convention cars from the current Nationals won’t count, and neither will boring stuff.  You gotta bring it if you are going to participate.

All those who have a qualifying model to open will get a ticket, and at the end of the event we will draw some winners.  The prizes?  Hot Wheels has donated a good one to be unveiled there, and Sterling Protectors has added a full case of Car Culture size Protectors for a lucky winner.

I’m bringing a couple of models too.  One to give away, and one to open.  The winner of my giveaway model, as we did last year, MUST open their prize on the spot.
