This is a model that has been high on our want list ever since it was announced, and we finally get to take a pic.
Photos have emerged of the upcoming Hot Wheels basic Subaru BRAT, and we have to say, it does not disappoint:
The photos are a little blurry, but you get the picture. We are loving the retro design queues, especially the colors and the signature vertical “BRAT” on the B pillar.
And yeah, we have heard the rumors and gotten a lot of questions surrounding an…um…enhanced version of this model coming too. We have no idea. We will just have to wait and see. We will say we are perfectly happy with this version.
Your thoughts?
“Enhanced version”……hmm this will be the $uper Treasure Hunts. Haha

Hmm…if this was the regular version of the super this would not have any hood tampos.
And maybe throw in the metal base!

Wonder if the blue and gold colour scheme is a nod to the '90s Impreza rally cars…
Can't wait!
Somewhat. No stars, also no 555, but it's enough for me.
Can't wait! too
They aren't doing that all the time anymore. The black 599xx had the same tampo didn't it?

Yeah…but it's more likely when there's a busy deco going on like with the Corolla and Supra.
Soooooo happy. In the UK I can only get basics and have been drooling over this model for years. Good to see the right wheels with a decent paint job. And it doesn't have the up-sloped chin. HAHAHAHHAHAHA.
Ps. Hope it is in then and now coz the paint is sooooo good.
Wouldn't be surprised if this isn't a super and that this will be the last outing of this casting for a while. Mattel have used it a lot of late and so it may disappear for a while. #justsaying
What do you mean? This will be its fourth release and none of the previous three versions were mass produced in mainline quantities. There have been other castings that have seen heavier usage.
Each of the first three releases in Hot Ones, Boulevard, and Cool Classics were all in the later waves which were not plentiful.
I think I'd have preferred stock, like red with white stripes. Don't get me wrong, it does look nice.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHH DAT LIVERY….. (O.O)
This is perfect would like to see a small knobby wheel though like the old saw blade. This is great that its going to be a mainline. I got very luck to get a Boulevard series and I mean lucky.
Can't wait three
Got to say .. one of the best straight out of the packaging .. Hotwheels / Matchbox Diecasts -I've seen in such, a long, long time..
( although I do wish Matchbox – Hotwheels re-introduce the Spring – Back into their models ..the Suburu Brat -would be a natural for it ..!)
