Lamley Awards 2014 Poll: What was the Best Hot Wheels Super Treasure Hunt in 2014?

It’s that time of year again…

We seriously love doing the Lamley Awards.  It is always interesting to see what our readers like and dislike from the year in diecast.  Sometimes it is completely predictable, many times it isn’t.  But whatever the results, they are always interesting.

So with the Hot Wheels 2014 lineup essentially over, we will start the polls.  Over the next few weeks, we will introduce several polls, and we hope you vote on all of them.  Some to look for:

  • Best and Worst Super TH
  • Best and Worst Regular TH
  • Best and Worst New Models
  • Hot Wheels Model of the Year
  • Matchbox Best and Worst New Model
  • Matchbox Model of the Year
So why not start with a poll that will certainly bring out some opinions: Best Super Treasure Hunt.

Web users, look to your right.  You will see the poll.  Mobile users, follow the link below.  We will leave it open throughout the week.  Vote for your favorite Super TH, and share the poll with your friends and neighbors.  You can even use this link:
Just make sure you vote before the end of the day Sunday!!  You may think one of these will run away with it, but that is not really the case.  This was a fantastic year for Super Treasure Hunts.  There were some definite collector favorites in the bunch, including:
  • Two wagons
  • Two pickups
  • Back-to-back Mustangs
  • Back-to-back Corvettes
  • Only ONE Camaro
  • One Japanese Car
  • One Brazilian Car
  • A shitload of Chevys (9 to be exact)
There might be some surprises, so make sure you get your vote in…
Once all the polls are closed, we will showcase the winner of the Lamley Poll, as well as unveil our choice for Best Super.  So stay tuned.

  1. So, out of ALL those, there is only ONE non US branded model, doesn't that show how little Mattel thinks of the rest of the world, Needless to say i voted for the Datsun….

  2. The best looking of the lot and a car that really deserves the attention, I think the Datsun is the best. There was some problem with my browser or internet connection (I don't know what) which had me mistakenly selecting the Bel Air but no, I refreshed and chose the 510 Wagon. The SpeedHunters logo was just a bonus!

  3. Great batch this year have to say it's a four way tie the Datsun,Bel Air,Nova & Mach1. Really though tough call their all really done well. Just as hard to pick a worst. There are two that coulda been better.

  4. Since I could only vote for 1….I voted for the Gasser because I love the casting and the coloring of it for the super is jaw dropping.

Also great photos!!!!!! I may borrow a few of them as desktop backgrounds! Keep up the good work

  5. Aww…The Datsun won…I didn't make it in time to vote. My personal favorite 2014 Super is the '64 Chevy Nova Station Wagon. Second, the Chevrolet SS. I love station wagons, so the Chevy Nova was a perfect car for me!
