It’s nearly mid-March and the weeks are rocking and the diecast news keeps rolling – so lets get to it!

- Lamley Sneaks a Dirty Dozen HWs on Youtube
John (aka THE Lamley Group) sat down with Hot Wheels designer Brendon Vetuskey for a sneak-preview video of a massive dozen new Hot Wheels premium castings.
There was a casting previewed for almost every type of collector and some surprises that were only recently announced – including the 1/43rd scale ’55 Chevy Gasser.

Personally I am CRAZY excited for that 4th gen WS6 as that has been on many HWs’ collectors bucket-lists (including my own) for quite a while. The Cobra R and new ’70 Roadrunner casting are pretty dope too.

2. Compact Kings and Land Yachts at Round2
During their latest video preview, Round2 dropped some fresh castings that are sure to be a big hit with multiple collector niches.
The dropped some 80s and 90s Johnny Lightning gold in the form of a new Pontiac Fiero casting and a W20 Toyota MR2 — both with moving parts!

While the JL castings went compact, AutoWorld went the opposite direct with a slew of big-bodied Mopars. They introduced a new ’68 Coronet casting (in four different trims no less) and a ’70/’71 Fury coupe. I own a ’75 Grand Fury sedan and a ’74 Fury III sedan, so seeing them release a new Fury of any year is amazing.

3. All is REVEALED
Mattel Creations hosted their virtual Revealed event this past Thursday where they launched a brand new Elite 64 casting in the form of a Porsche 911 GT2 EVO 993.

The Advan-deco’d Porsche was hot almost immediately and has since sold out — the first Elite 64 release to sell out since the Freightliner Cascadia dropped a few months ago.
The Elite 64 line has some other great new castings dropping this year, so if you missed out on the Porsche you’ll still have some chances to add to your Elite 64 collection – and of course well include the next drop in the 5-Pack as well.
But that’s not all folks — Hot Wheels also previewed a new collab with Collete Davis during the event — and snuck-in a sneak-peek of her upcoming neon RX7 drift car Car Culture release.

4. Matchbox Goes Retro
Matchbox previewed a new retro multi-pack this week that is sure to delight the Lesney-era collectors.

The “Replay the Classics” box features four previously released castings in throwback-style paint schemes. No word on price or availability yet, but when we find out, you’ll find out.
5. Long Live Group B
Group B rally cars were absolutely some of the most badass cars to ever sling dirt and Tarmac Works is dropping more Group B goodness in the form of a blanco RS200.

Their amazing RS200 casting is incredibly detailed and comes with a removable engine cover that can be stood up for display purposes. The car is now available for preorder at your favorite Tarmac Works distributor and is slated for a July 2025 release.
The In-House Party: the Weekly Lamley Drops
The Lamley Group released several new videos, but the most topical is John’s unboxing of the Revealed event Elite 64 Porsche:
For @64wheels’ drops, I unboxed and reviewed the new HO scale Menards exclusive Carvana Vehicle Showroom. It’s a pretty dope display that DOES fit most HWs and Matchbox cars, so that was a huge plus!
@doomusrlc latest video features a full unboxing of Greenlight’s 6th wave of lowriders — and he unboxes the chases too:
And to round out the 5-Pack we have @championdjk unboxing some new HWs mainlines — including the crazy hot Dollar General exclusive Silverado:
