PARA64 Introduces Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0 to 1/64 Diecast World

PARA64 has secured a new licensing partner and is starting strong with the introduction of the 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0, a model that has been missing from 1/64 collectors’ shelves.

The Carrera RSR 3.0 was a formidable racing car, dominating Group 4 resulting in one of the most successful careers of all time. Compared to a 2.7 RS, the RSR featured wider flares and a tea tray rear spoiler. The massive wheels were center locks from a 917, measuring 10.5 inches wide in the front and a staggering 14 inches out back. The brakes were also nicked from the 917 parts bin.

The 3.0L flat-6 produced 330 horsepower at 8,000 RPM. Take a moment to watch some YouTube videos to hear it ripping through the gears.

In its debut release, PARA64 is tapping motorsport history (as they do) by presenting the 1975 Kremer car (chassis 0050004) in Wally’s Jeans livery. The car was extensively raced in period, with a handful of podiums. Enjoy that elaborate paint scheme and take note the wheels are different from the second car, something that PARA64 hasn’t done until now, if memory serves me right.

The second release will be in the distinctive Valliant livery, a 1975 car driven by Bob Wollek to victory in the International Supersprint Nurburgring. Chassis #911 560 9117 is accurately reproduced with those beautiful BBS wheels and bright colors.

PARA64 will most certainly make the most of this new license and I’m looking forward to future projects between the two brands. Both cars are going to look great paired with previously issued RUF castings. I feel a WP0 vs W09 comparison calling…
