We move on to Matchbox. The New Model polls are here on the site, but we still need to figure out the Best of Matchbox via our 16-car Tournament.
Matchbox by all measures had a stellar year. Tons of new models, almost all licensed, and wildly wide variety, for classics to current cars. The term that comes to mind is “confident”. Matchbox seems to know what it is again and there appears to be consensus. The output has been great.
Which makes choosing 16 models to put up against each other tournament-style very difficult. But we did it. As always, we considered collector response to different releases, opinions on castings and graphics, etc. After a lot of discussion we have a list of 16.

This will be a fun tournament to watch. I truly have no idea what model will end up on top.
