The incredible Audi RS7 by MotorHelix, in 1/64

Wow. This is violent! I love those kind of surprises! I did not expect so much when I ordered this car from a fellow diecast eBay store in Spain (AGTOYCARS). I did see on Instagram and other various previews websites that MotorHelix was preparing an Audi RS7 in our scale. I surely had interest. Well, I did know too that the brand released very nice 1/18 resin models of this particular car, but it’s not the kind of 1/18 cars I want to collect (even if their realization seems spectacular!).

And some weeks ago, we have seen this Audi RS7 popping up on eBay. Various colors are offered, from black, red to white, and the amazingly cool Nardo grey. Fellow and faithfuls writers know that I love sedan cars, and I must admit I’ve always LOVED the Audi A7/RS7, as a such damn sexy car. Obviously the RS7 is more of a coupe sedan car, but it’s a big car. So, this Nardo grey got me, it was time to order.

The parcel came very fast from Spain to France, and you can trust AGTOYCARS as a very good seller. The car is super high end premium like, in a typical crystal box with premium finish. That must be said right away : the car is licensed, and the brand seems to insist on that. The packaging and the white very heavy base reminds me Timothy&Pierre models. Such as the quality, that I would put at the same level. Do T&P produce for them ? Do they share the same factory ? Can’t tell you, but I can guarantee the quality is up up up.

It cost me around €40 + shipping, and it is worth it. Really. This is my maximum price for a 1/64 car. You can find some easily on eBay … for now.

The execution of the car is amazing, the Nardo grey is very perfect, not mat, not brilliant, just like it has to be. The stance of the car is amazing (look at the tires just skimming the wheel arches). The rims are nuts, the brake disks and calipers too. Hopefully, the car doesn’t roll, which permits this amazing stance. It is a pure display car.

Rear windows are tinted, highlighting the premium aspect of the car. The taillights are just nuts, exhausts too, and I love to see the carbon fiber details all around the car.

The license plates are not that premium look, and could have been better, if I may.

Finally, the interior got a super premium treatment, but it’s not easy for me to catch the details with my camera (and the interior is black).

MotorHelix seems to really being in love with the Audi RS7, and I’m in love with their realization. I don’t know how this Nardo grey version can be beat. This red one though … I surely will consider to have another model from this brand, maybe a Brabus G. And I surely will pay more and more attention to this brand, that is very serious!
