Lamley Daily: Hot Wheels aka Charawheels Thunderbirds Lady Penelope’s Rolls-Royce FAB-1

Model: FAB-1 (Thunderbirds)

Line: Hot Wheels / Charawheels

The Hot Wheels / Charawheels FAB-1 is definitely one of the unique casting that stands out in my collection. I remember picking this up in Nakano Broadway back in 2014 because of the Hot Wheels logo on the card and also its retro look in striking pink body color.

Charawheels castings are produced exclusively for the Japanese Market between 2002-2004 based on popular movies and TV shows. Although I have not watch a single episode of the 1960s Thunderbirds, the actual FAB-1 owned by Lady Penelope has a suite of weaponry and gadgets machine guns, grappling hook, smoke screen canister just to name a few. The six-wheeler FAB-1 is also based on a Rolls-Royce that comes a distinctive RR grille.

  1. Just to correct an error – The FAB-1 is NOT based on any Rolls Royce, it was given permission for the company to use the Grill and S.O.E. for the sole purpose of it becoming a future Royce, this car is a car in its own right and not based on anything.
