Why you should collect 1/64 Kyosho: JDM

I’ve already discussed the merits of collecting Kyosho Euro models, so now it is time to dig into JDM. The only thing is I barely scratch the surface. While it appears Kyosho is pulling way back on 1/64, there are still a kajillion JDM models to pursue. Here are mine:

  1. I’ve got 22 Kyosho 1:64s, most of them Skylines. But I also picked up a Honda Integra, Subaru 22Bs, a BRZ, and a couple Legacy wagons.
The prizes of them are the 2 Bead’s Auto Show Kenmeris. One i the regular one and another is from the 2007 Nismo Festival. Both are very similar, slight shade differences, the only distinguishing difference is the Nismo Festival one has a tiny sticker on the back side window. I never noticed it until I was taking photos to list one on Ebay thinking they were identical. I got both for 3000 yen each while in Tokyo.
I had a chance to pick up the mirror blue version and passed. I stared at it for a good 10 minutes before forcing myself to walk away. It would have cost me 4000 yen. I wish I had gotten it but I had already spent a lot of money by then so I don’t regret it too much.
