Where to get one: The Illest Online Store occasionally makes them available (you need to keep checking back), or you can get one on eBay.
Why it is in the collection: This is a no brainer. I, along with many of you, have clamored for a “non-Pop Culture” T1 Panel. The model obviously works in Pop Culture with its mass real estate on the side, but the model needs to be used elsewhere in a more realistic deco.
Finally.
The Fatlace Panel is a gem. It was released as a promo for the new Illest x Hot Wheels clothing line. It is based on a real Panel Van, and with it’s simple Fatlace logo over grey, with the checkered roof and black chrome moon disc Real Riders, it is an instant must-have. So I made sure I got one.
Of course Hot Wheels has figured out that this van needs to appear elsewhere, so we will see it in Car Culture as well:
That will make two VW’s that will for sure stay in my collection. More on the Mooneyes in 2018. For now, grab that Fatlace.
