Model: Hot Wheels ’70 Pontiac GTO Judge

Line: 2011 New Models (recolor)

Where to get it: Hot Wheels ’70 Pontiac Got Judge on ebay

Why it’s in the collection: It is a signature muscle car done incredibly well by Hot Wheels.  I have no idea what prompted the same size wheels, especially after the ’69 GTO Judge was released a few years earlier with the large rear wheels, but I love it.

This is actually the second color, after the model debuted in yellow.  After that a convertible version was released.  I collected the First Editions of both models, especially with the stock Judge deco.

I particularly like this olive green, mainly because it is a color I don’t see that often.

  1. The 1970 Pontiac GTO convertible as a matter of fact debuted in 2008, arguably it was the popularity of the convertible that sparked the desire for a hardtop.

  2. The trio of Judges with the authentic deco (this one, the yellow one and the dark blue one) are all fantastic models, and I’m happy to have them all. This is one of those muscle car castings that just gets it right. I think the only thing that would improve these is if they had headlight tampos, but really it’s not an issue when the car looks this good.
