I think we can all say Hot Wheels Car Culture has been a success so far. Euro Style hasn’t equaled the insanity that is the Japan Historics, but based on the collector world right now there is nothing that will.
It seems the reaction to Euro Style has been somewhat lukewarm. Too bad, because it is a very nice set, it just suffers from following the Japan Historics. Release it first and collectors are going gaga. So that will be the burden of Car Culture. Expectations for each assortment will be exceptionally high, and hopefully the mix of castings plus deco plus wheels will meet those high levels through 2016 and into 2017.
Enter assortment #3. For Batch C Hot Wheels moves away from an era or a geographical area and goes for a type of vehicle. The theme is Trucks. That’s it. Just Trucks. And that is how it should be. No glitz, just hard-working pickups. And my guess is this will be a very popular set.

This assortment deserves two parts. There is something for everyone, and one particular model may be the king of Car Culture so far.

Congrats! You got your hands on a car culture set before the Canadians did this time. The Euro Style set had 4 German and 1 Italian cars, no British. As I said from day 1, it was a missed opportunity to reintroduce the Renault Megane Trophy or Renault 5 Turbo to represent France as well.
Dodge gets snubbed again.
I've yet to see any of the Japan Historics or Euro cars in any store. I won't pay more than suggested retail for any of them from what I've seen so far.
The Ford was originally released as the '79 Ford F-150 so that answers that.
I've been buying cases. Have yet to see ANY Car Culture in the 5 or so stores I frequent in Fort Worth.

That it's not great is the only thing that's “too bad”. Japan Historics was the nice set, that's pretty basic sense.
Hindsight is 20/20, I agree with John's comment. I will add that most Hot Wheels collectors do not care about Euros and most Euro enthusiasts (myself included) do not care about Hot Wheels, Euro Style was doomed to fail before it was even born.
Are the Japan or Euro assortments even out yet? I have yet to see so much as an empty peg for them anywhere.
not really in to the Car Culture ones some of the cars i already have in some other assortment not paying 5$ for a car i have just because it has rubber tires
the f250 casting is much different than the 79 f150. even in size.
