(repost from August 30, 2012)
I have kept promising to showcase this model, but I have wanted to wait for the right moment. What right moment? I don’t know why I kept postponing it, I just think I want everyone to be able to see this model and really get a sense of how well-done it is, especially considering it is a 1:64 model (slightly smaller than the HW 458).
I don’t need to sing the praises of Kyosho. I have done enough of that. I would just ask the Lamley followers to get used to seeing them on this blog, and I really hope some of you will be able to add a few to your collections. They aren’t $1, but they are worth getting.
This Ferrari comes from the Ferrari Series 8, and is one of three colors on the Italia. These models also come unassembled. You get to put it all together, and it is pretty fun. My daughter keeps asking when more of those models you have to build are coming. They are coming, in the form of two Kyosho 599XX’s, and they will get the full Lamley treatment later.
In the meantime, enjoy this fantastic 458 Italia. As I mentioned in a previous post about the Hot Wheels 458, this is the car that has brought me back to Ferrari. It is just gorgeous. And now with the design queues of the FF, which I love (and need to showcase), and the F12 Berlinetta (which might even be better looking than the Italia), it appears I will be in Ferrari’s camp for a long time…
(Find the Kyosho Ferraris at Daboxtoys, where they are currently on sale…)
Kyosho Ferrari 458 Italia (Ferrari Series 8):
Dude, i don't know why the HW one din't get the intakes on the front made just like this one.
It bothers me to heve'em in the same color as the car.
This is as good as it gets. Hot wheels miss out on the mirrors and headlights look ugly. God is in the details android is heaven sent! Way!
Simplesmente magnifica essa miniatura da Kyosho, como eu gosto dessa marca. Parabéns por ela.
I'm gonna get me some. Gotta cough up the bucks but it would be worth it in the long run. As much as I love my Hot Wheels 458's, the Kyosho is a cut above.
