As I stated earlier, I am traveling this week. That means I don’t have access to the mini studio I use. But don’t worry, I will be back to that soon enough.
So off to the archives I go. Tonight we have pics of the some of the models from the final batch of Speed Machines. I absolutely loved this series, but it must not have performed that way Mattel hoped. Walmart and Target eventually stopped selling it, and it took either help from overseas or lucky stops at auto parts stores to get the final models.
There are still rumors of a Ferrari 458 Italia (supposedly in black) and an Aston Martin DBS yet to be released, but with each passing week I think it is highly unlikely. That is too bad, as they are two castings I really like.
But unless those two come out, here are the last Speed Machines to enter my collection:
